Joined by 21 musicians of 14 nationalities, Manu Koch presents an eclectic musical journey on his 10 synth and loop-based compositions, fusing Latin rhythms, Hip Hop, Funk, Electronica, African elements and a dose of Jazz. Three years in the making, the basic structure of all tracks including its titles and the song order were in place by 2019, while the remote recording approach as well as the themes it addresses are fitting for the shifts happening since the Covid pandemic started.

“Filtron M, on this project, revolves around a concept of layered rhythms emphasizing stimulating world grooves, anchored by free-wheeling bass lines and embellished with dynamic keyboard wizardry. The contributions from special guests add exotic gradations, allowing the production to ascend into creative orbits that go well beyond jazz, fusion or other labels. It is inventive, spontaneous music that will leave listeners clamoring for more.” James Nadal – allaboutjazz.com

"Anybody with a taste for avant-garde jazz fusion, ambient over the edge sound is gonna flip over Manu Koch and Filtron M’s Mandatory Undergound, a terrific four composition EP which sounds like Weather Report one second and some dark angled The XX style the next.” Iman Lababedi - rocknycliveandrecorded.com

Manu Koch's debut album released in March 2011
